Kindred Spirit Award
I never got around to it but I was graciously awarded by Vanessa from Maiden Of Purity.
Thank you very much Vanessa I am very honored!
All my Kindred Spirits have already received this award but that doesn't matter why can't they get it again!
Allison form Letter From Christ. My best friend and loving sister is one of my most Kindred Spirits. I am so happy that God gave me an older sister like her and I'm not sure what I would do without her. My older brother and I are always in her room (or recently my room) at night talking. Our relationships have grown so much over this time and it has been a wonderful experience.
Kristen from Everlasting Treasure. Kristen a newer Member of 4Homeschoolers has grown to be another one of my Kindred Spirits. And I am very happy that I can award her this award.
Moriah from Growing In His Amazing Grace. Moriah is another good friend and I am happy to be awarding this to her again.
And lastly
Jasmine from Joyfully Home. Although I know her very little I can tell by her post and love for God that we are Kindred Spirits in heart and am happy to award her this.

Poem-November Morning
NOVEMBER MORNING
A tingling, misty marvel
A tingling, misty marvel
Blew hither in the night,
And now the little peach trees
Are clasped in frozen light.
On linden tips and maples
An icy film is caught,
With shining threads of cobwebs
In pearly patterns wrought.
The autumn sun, in wonder,
Is gaily peering through
This crystal-tissued network
Across the frosty blue,
The weather-vane show silver
Above the mossy leads, the glitter,
brightly ice-glazed,
In rare transparent reds.
Such sparkle, sparkle, sparkle,
In earth and sky and air,
Oh! can it by that darkness
Is ever anywhere?

Moriahs 13 Brithday and new Projects!
For Moriahs 13 Birthday I made her a Pink Purse and a Small outfit for her poodle, Hadassah. After I made those I found out another friend of mine was having a birthday soon so I made her one as well. A younger girl in our church had a birthday coming up also so I made her two little purses out of the extra material. And here are the finished products! Unfortunately I forgot my camera and don't have a picture of Hadassah wearing the outfit I made. Enjoy!
And a close up on the blue and tan purse fabric which I also found at Hobby Lobby
This is one of the mini purse I made using the pink fabric
And the other mini purse using the blue and tan fabric.
Have a blessed day! This is one of the mini purse I made using the pink fabric

Hurricane Ike
So its been a while since hurricane Ike but I said I would post something about it! So here it is.
Thursday before the hurricane my dad woke us up at 6ish and said we were going to leave. So we set out for AR after frantically packing. We soon learned that our area was under a mandatory evacuation, so we were very fortunate to get out early! After driving for a while my dad changed his mind and said that we were going to go to Tyler since AR is 8 hours away. So we went to Tyler and stayed in a small cabin. Saturday the electricity went out and some trees began to fall around us, so we huddle in the hallway for an hour or so and waited. It was soon over but we didn't know when we would get power back on so we decided to leave Sunday. We found out are home had minor damage some fence fell over, and we lost a little bit of siding but that was about it. We lived without power from Saturday 'til Thursday.
So that's my brief summary of Hurricane Ike.

A Simple Letter...
A hand written letter is really something to treasure! For the longest time I've kept all the letters and cards I've received. Although I like the birthday cards and others that I have gotten, the ones I treasure most are the letters I receive from my dearest friends. I love to handwrite letters instead of typing them, even if my handwriting's bad; it means more to someone than one you quickly type up.
Letters aren't what they used to be; we now have a more sophisticated way of sending news... e-mail. I still like to use cards; it means more than a e-card or e-mail to someone. Although I find it hard to put time in for this like this it's worth it!
This is one reason why I will be taking a computer free month starting Sunday. I will be without internet for 30 days. (unless something comes up) I will have some scheduled posts during this time. I will be keeping track of all that happens and post about it when I get back. Have a great month everyone!

Mother's Day Poem
Each year on Mother's Day the kids of our church say "I love my mother because..." or write something about them, and say or read it in front of the congregation. For the past few years I have written a poem, here is this years poem.
MY SPECIAL MOTHER
My mom is special in this way,
she cooks and cleans and teaches all day.
With Kindness and patience she does it all,
as though it were something small.
Her encouraging words help me through,
a day just full of school and chores to!
Her love for God shines so bright,
she teaches me of him day and night.
She always has time to talk to me,
no matter how busy her day may seem.
She love to help people yes she does,
she makes great meals out of love.
Someday I want to become like her to,
a Godly Mother with Godly views.
My mom is special in so many ways,
I love you mom--Happy Mother's Day!
